In his experimental short film, Swiss director Gilles Aubry explores seaweed and pollution on the Moroccan Atlantic coast which has dramatic consequences for the health of the population. The film is an attempt to «listen» to pollution and to its effects on coastal life. As the main character hums, sings, breathes, and silently interacts with algae, a new figure progressively emerges, maouj, an aquatic body open to transcorporeal and interspecies speculations.
There will be 2 screenings on January 13 and 14th. Info: https://norient-festival.com/Atlantic-Ragagar
