Baraka Radio

Live performance by Gilles Aubry based on his current research on sung poetry, sonic intimacy and environmental voices in rural Morocco. The work explores the many voices resonating in the Taghia gorges in the South-Atlas region, including the mineral voices of rocks and water, the technological voices of the marginal hertzian space, and the spiritual voice of the local saint Nana Agouti. Baraka, the benevolent power of the saints, is approached here as a form of natural radio, constitutive of the local analogist-animist ontology.
